Cover Letter — Anton Novikov

Hi,

Anton Novikov, DevOps / Platform / Cloud engineer, 8 years in. Based in Yerevan, Armenia — open to full remote or relocation to the EU.

Right now I'm running infrastructure for two companies inside the same holding. MixVel is a private division of Sirena-Travel — the group's own agent-facing product with a dedicated GDS code (15 GRS). I built and run a FluxCD v2 GitOps setup there: 6 Kubernetes clusters out of one repo, full data platform — Kafka, ClickHouse, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, MinIO — all through HelmReleases, new cluster provisioning automated end-to-end with Ansible. Since March I've also taken on Red Rose Traveltech, MixVel's subsidiary for the European market — a B2B corporate travel platform: all infra in Yandex Cloud via Terraform, GitLab CI/CD for microservices, 99.9%+ SLO on core booking. Two products, one engineer.

I also write the tooling I need: FastAPI service showing live cluster health across all environments, a custom Alertmanager webhook with per-team routing, a Trivy→SonarQube converter so security findings surface outside the pipeline, Markdown→Confluence auto-sync to keep docs from going stale. If I'm doing something by hand twice, I automate it.

Before that, 3 years at Sirena-Travel itself — the parent company of the holding, a Russian GDS processing airline reservations at scale. No pipelines when I joined, monitoring covered maybe half the fleet, 500+ VMs configured by hand. Left it with CI/CD for every stack (Java, Python, PHP, .NET, C++), deploys down from several hours to under 10 minutes, Prometheus on all 500 nodes, MTTR from 2 hours to 20 minutes. Between Sirena and MixVel — 15 months as the only DevOps engineer at Flowerave, a ticketing startup: Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CE, observability, PostgreSQL backups with RPO under an hour, all from zero.

I like building things. Not just keeping them alive — actually building them. I pick up new stacks fast, I'm comfortable owning infra without hand-holding, and I find the automation work genuinely interesting.

Let me know if you want to talk.
